B-17 ride for PAVE LOW guys

A while back, Glenn Fleming took the lead and collected some donations to get Will Eaton a ride on a B-17. Will’s cancer came back and this was the least we could do for him. Since there was quite a bit of money left over, Glenn was also able to get Chris Curtis a ride too. The below is from them:

From Will Eaton:
“Admittedly I’m jaded, I don’t often get surprised at people’s behavior anymore. However, the altruistic nature of the Pave and Rescue community demonstrates an shining example for others to follow. I’m honored and humbled to be the subject of such a fund raising event. I can tell you that sticking your head out of a flying B-17 is as amazing as it sounds. My time is getting a bit more finite and waining, I will never forget how you all came together and did this for me. It was truly an honor to serve alongside you and call you friends. Thank you. Will”

From Chris Curtis:
“To my Pavelow family, Thank you so much for the amazing trip to EAA Airventure. It has always been a life long dream of mine to go there and not only see the experience, but to live it even more with that amazing B-17 ride. I will never forget those moments, but more importantly, I will never forget the amazing generosity that is our Pavelow Community. Thank you all again from a very humbled and grateful Flight Engineer. Chris Curtis”

John Grove Memorial

John Grove’s legacy lives on and not just in the PAVE LOW world. John helped fund Bless the Children, an international organization helping the poorest children of the world who are living under extreme conditions. He did this with his own retirement check! After his passing, several other caring PAVE guys stepped in to help out. In short, Bless The Children is looking for annual donations in order to provide a minimum of $2000 a month towards his memorial fund.
